Baby Boomer

by Ed Robinson

Wretched babies,
See them bleed
As you watch
The vultures feed.

Woeful babies,
Hear them cry
As they see
Their mommies die.

Hopeless babies,
Smell their breath
As you drag
Them to their deaths.

Helpless babies,
Touch their skin
As you plunge
The daggers in.

Conquered babies,
Sense their pain
As their blood
Flows down the drain.

Joyless babies,
Feel their screams
As you crush
Their goals and dreams.

Weeping babies,
Taste their tears
As they grow
Up through the years.

Babies, babies,
You and I
Live in hope,
But still we die.
