Scene 2
INT-SHOT: Casino. There are a number of games going on throughout the crowded room. JOK chooses a table with a wheel of fortune and sits down. the WHEEL OPERATOR is across the table. RASPIN stands nearby, trying to look disinterested.

JOK: What's the number to play today?

WHEEL OPERATOR: 42, if it's a number. Gold if it's a color. You in or not?

JOK: 15 on 42.

WHEEL OPERATOR spins the wheel.

WHEEL OPERATOR: 36 black!

JOK: You give great advice.

WHEEL OPERATOR: I work for the casino.

JOK: Obviously. Look, I have a friend who works for the casino, but I don't know which level.

WHEEL OPERATOR: That's a shame. You in?

JOK: 10 on 42.

WHEEL OPERATOR: Your funeral. (spins the wheel)

WHEEL OPERATOR: 24 red!

JOK: Not my lucky day.

WHEEL OPERATOR: Nope. What's your friend's name?

JOK: Wennix. Del Wennix.

WHEEL OPERATOR: You in?

JOK: Do I have a choice?

WHEEL OPERATOR: What's your number?

JOK: Didn't think so. 10 on 42.

WHEEL OPERATOR: You really do like giving your credits away. (spins the wheel) Do you feel lucky?

JOK (sliding the OPERATOR some cash): Will this improve my luck?

WHEEL OPERATOR: 19 blue! Guess not. (Takes the bribe) He's on level two, suite B. It's a private game room. You'd better be on the up-and-up. You in?

JOK: I don't think so; I think I just used my luck for one day.

WHEEL OPERATOR: Your loss. (spins the wheel)

JOK gets up and starts to leave. RASPIN joins him. The wheel stops spinning.

WHEEL OPERATOR: 42 gold!

JOK: I should have known.
